Default 12 volts

does a blasters light system run off of 12 volts if so could i buy a cheap pair of walmart lights that run off a 12 amp power supply and hook them up temporarily

Yes, the blaster uses a 12 volt battery system. Amperage and current are two different things though. Get a light setup for 12 volts but look to see how much current it draws. You don't want to go too high because it will drain your battery but if you go too low, it might not be bright enough. Look for something about in the middle.

^ Sorry, I meant voltage and amperage. Get the 12 volt, but check the amperage.
