Is it possible to make a 4 stroke atv ACT EXACTLY like the 2 stroke Banshee atv? How?

How did this thread go from trying to help the creator to pointless arguments? Oh yes that's right bitter children Come on guys...yamaha owners fighting amongst themselves?!? I thought you guys always saved up all your fighting for the honda guys

your best solution to make a four stroke quad act like a 2-stroke is to rip your 4 stroke engine out(throw that away) and slap a nice cr500 motor in your frame. That should do the job

I have a prairie 700 utility that is 603 lbs that will just smoke a modded honda 400ex by 5 quads in 500 feet.
Never raced a raptor but in 330 feet unless he runs nitro it would be close.
Top end at 4500' elevation is 67 mph but getting there with a v-twin is fast.
0-330' I hit 57 mph.
Many sport quads claim 70 plus top end. But in the real world they only do 55-65 mph. And the Rapter does 70-75 maybe.
Plus its who gets there first that counts.

I have both a yfz 450 and a modded banshee. I have raced a YFZ450 on pavement for 3 telephone poles and got smoked off the line because I couldn't keep the front end down (aka I was sceeeered) I also have a 16 tooth front sprocket, which doesn't help take-off...even after you get the front end down. He beat me about 6 bike lengths out of the hole and at 3 poles, we were side by side and I was only in 5th gear. I go at least 15mph faster on top, granted I have it geared pretty tall. They're fast for stock, but don't ever compare them even a slightly modded Banshee. If a better rider had been on mine, he'd have smoked the 450 from start till finish.
Oh yeah, to answer the initial post; It is not possible to make a 4-stroke exactly like any 3-stroke. It would be great if you could combine the best of both..instant torque and amazing powerband...but I don't think its possible. As a 4-stroke hater, I actually bought my YFZ450 to teach my wife how to ride it, but I actually love it..would never trade the Banshee for it though,

there are three banshees in my family,a 91' with a dg two into one pipe,k&n,jetted........a 2001 with fmf gnarly pipes and silincers, and k&n and jetted right, and now we have a brand new 04' bone stock. All three quads will outrun my 87 lt250 quadracer,my friends piped and ported 2001 400ex,and the kfx 400 we ride with. Some of the four strokes are just as powerful and fast like the new 450's (with mods they are as fast) but i dont believe there to be any substitute for a banshees power feel. Its nice and easy and calm, and then its rip your arms off crazy.i love em,but they handle like tanks in the trails, and weigh about 60-65 pounds more than my 87 quaracer.

And the utiliy Prairie kicks butt on all.
Don'tr think any of the above can beat a big 603 pound Prairie with a few mods in 300-500 foot drag.
