Default ninja 600 engine in bashee frame?

I can get a running yamaha 600 motorcycle engine for beens,. but will still need a bashee chasse
to even start thinking of getting started.
I would like to know if its do-able, or if anyone has done it before.
there seems to close to enough room.
Is there anything i'll need to consider before

peace

That depends on your experience building bikes...it's not going to be a direct bolt on, alot of fabrication is necessary to put a streetbike motor in an ATV chassis.

true, you will not be able to just bolt it in.

I have plenty welding and fabrication experiance, and have mechanical skills also.
The only thing i'm short on is $$$. But I don't plan on doing this in
a weekend.
I was hopeing someone could share some insite on fabricating
a project quad from a frankenstien standpoint,
as in, parts from this, going on that.
This WILL be my first project quad, and i really don't want
to be told i can't do it.
I just want something to work on in my spare time.

I appreciate your input, please keep it comming.

peace

one of my friends put an old yamaha dual sport dirk bike motor in his blaster frame. the top of the engine was where the top of the gas tank used to be. so anything is possible. lets just say it looks funny, and has reenforced steel plates all over the frame. good luck

found this picture on the net, ugly isn't it. I have help a guy build something close to what you want to do. 500 kaw street bike motor in a honda 125 chas. my suggestion is to build a center section to fit the motor and weld the front and rearends to it, I will advise you though that the power is not really useable, exept down the highway. if you ever get out of 3rd I would be suprised, and you have to think about tires, motorcycle tires are very very well designed, but if the thing acts like a bike you can get up to 140 before aerodynamics kick in and get there very quickly. oh and to all the **** talking about put bussa engines in quads I have this to say... shut the F*** up. the only thing that makes them faster than the outher gsxrs is that they have special cowling that doesn't pick the back tire of the ground at 210. sorry about the rant I just really hate bussa's, only **** ride them because they have little d**** and no ***** to take corners.

Well, personally I think you have to some ***** just to get on a Busa and go. It takes some major ***** to get it up to 180.

if you do go this route figure on upgradeing the tranny gears. i have an uncle that puts ninja motors in suzuki 250's & 500's all the time. he also blows the tranny alot when he races. its a great hill climber though.

How dare you, put that ninja engine a 4 stroke quad frame, you wont be impressing any Banshee owners that for sure.
