Help me out here..

I know this has been asked alot and i know this has been said alot at the top of the posts it has been asked on.. BUT
Concerning my floats.... Do they have to be adjusted? I mean if the bike runs and what not (runs good) then do u have to adjust foats.. is there a performance gain with the foats being adjusted correctly?

Is your carb starving your motor for fuel?..no
Is gas leaking out the overflow?...no

If your floats are adjusted wrong, you'll know it. Basically all they are doing is keeping enough gas inside the bowl of the carb. Too little, and your carb can't keep up with the motor, too much and it will be flowing out of the over flow.

If the gas level isn't right inside your bowl, then there isn't enough gas "on hand" for when you need it. When you open up the throttle, the movment of air draws gas up through the jets and into the motor.
If you wern't drawing gas into the motor, then you will notice it because it will be creating a lean condition.

If it is low, it will usually idle fine, but when you hit the gas, it sputters like it's running out. If there is any overflowing from the tubes, it is too high. If it's not doing either one, don't touch it cuz you'll screw it up. You don't make a bike faster by adjusting floats all the time.
