Default After breaking in my new raptor....

and i get the first maint, where they adjust teh valves etc. Should i notice much of a difference in power?

Default After breaking in my new raptor....

I figure i got around 35 or 40 on mine now. and I really gotta change the oil agin. yours isnt leakin any oil up on the right side of the motor where the oil line goies into the cam cover?

got like 5 hours on it. Gonna ride it another 5 hours and change the oil. plan on putting a good chunk of time on it this weekend.



was just curious how "OFF" the valves can be during breakin/ before first maint.

Cowboy, If yours is leaking from the oil line it might be a dealer set up issue. Others had the same problem cause of the dealer over/under torquing that line during set up. Getting them to admit it would probably be impossible.

Semo, I doubt that your valves could have changed much with only 5 hours on it. Especially if you babied it. I think the manual calls for 20 or so hours before oil change and valve adjustment. But changing you oil early won't hurt it.

yeah mine leaks a lil up there somewhere cant really tell where I need to take it in. But its not that much that i gonna worry about it yet.

Are you going to take it back to the dealer for valves oil etc. or are you going to do it yourself?

Default After breaking in my new raptor....

I would at least check the valves at 10 hours, it's very easy to do and takes at the most 30 min. Once you start taking things off you'll see it's pretty straight forward. Just make sure you have the right feeler guages.
