My blaster is still in the shop after 4 weeks! And all there doing is replaceing the reeds and reed valve. Has anyone else had this prob? They say it is because yamaha is in california and it takes a long time for the parts to get here.

That's sounds like a load of BS from the dealer. The parts you need are not uncommon, so they wouldn't be hard to come by. I've ordered a ton of parts for my Warrior, but I only had to wait 5 days at the most.

Dude, I had this problem with the dealer I bought my Blaster from. It was in the shop for 5 weeks for warenty work. I would call and talk to someone who would tell me my parts were in to call back the next day my bike would be ready, when I called back someone else would tell me my parts weren't even there. This went on for several days until I just went up there to see for myself what was going on. When I got there I asked to see my bike they were reluctant to let me in the work area so I told them to bring my bike out, when they brought it out I found out they had robbed parts from it to fix other atv's. So I went to the owner of the store and raised nine kinds of hell until he commited to replacing all of my missing parts with new stock a.s.a.p. I realize this is an extreme case but the point I'm making is you are their boss they are working for your money don't take any crap.

Why do u need a new reed cage anyways. If u ordered one out of a mag u could have gotten the part in less then a week and put it in in 20min if that.
