I just thought i would check into the baja1000, is there any reason that this year it is the baja 2000? Is it just y2k hype or is it going to stay baja 2000 from now on? does any one know the cost of running the baja 1000/2000 whatever it is? Its twice as long so it costs twice as much. I think it would be cool if we could get some funding and take a stock raptor down and run it. Honda ran a stock 400Ex in 98 right? Yamaha so far doesnt have factory pits like Honda has. Therefore the cost is having the pits and support crew. So if anyone knows any people at yamaha or some other big sponsors, maybe we could get some support. I would take my Raptor if I had the support crew and money. (hey it'll still be under warranty right?) But some one needs to take one before a DS rider does and makes the yamaha riders look bad.
