Default Cutting my Banshee's fenders?

Im thinking about cutting the front fenders on my banshee. First i would like to know a few things about it.
What would be bad about it? looks, and me getting dirty, and if at all it would be bad for the bike-i doubt it would but would like to know if for some readon it would

If i do how hsould i cut it? what type of tool should i use? should i make an outline before i cut it? anywhere i could see pictures of banshees with cut fenders?

Any replies would be much appreciated!

Not sure on pro's and cons, but a trick i heard to get your lines straight is to cut a notch in each side of the fender and run a string from each notch to the other and you will have perfect lines for cutting, cut it with a jig-saw then sand down the edges.

cut it with a jig saw, or sawzall but don't be afraid to leave a little. you can sand it down later with no prob. one trick, once you've cut them and are down to the finished edge. take a torch of any kind and get it lit and hot, then run it over the cut edge a couple times, to the point it gets shiny, then pull it off, you don't want it to melt, but as you get it hot, you can see it get shiny and change. when you do this, and then let it cool, doing it in steps, it will have a very finished look, and it won't look like you cut it with a jigsaw, it will look very finished.

all pros, not really any cons. you might get a tad dirtier, but honestly, i got dirty as hell with my fenders so i don't really think it's changed much. i love to be able to see my tires. i race xc, so that's important. oh, less to clean.

i cut the front fenders on my blaster, it looks alot cooler, and even more agressive looking, it also helped with the aerodynamics, we just used the circular hand saw thing, and it looks great.

I used a cutting wheel on a dremel and it worked good. Then use a heat gun and melt the edges just a tiny bit, enough to smooth out the edges.

You would be surprised how much they slow you down. I cut my front and back a couple of weeks ago. I am having them painted, black with blue lightning.

Check my pics. I did it with a dremel.

Dremel is an easy way, will help a little bit if you cut front and back.

I happen to like the way it looks....

Yes...you get covered if the trails are wet.

I could not tell the difference in speed or anything like that.

You can see mine in my pics.
