But for my first bike i would go with a CR250F the fourstroke has a lot more torque. With a 125cc two-troke bikes you need to keep them in the pipe pretty much all the time ti make any real power. They don't lug very well. But if you think you can keep it in the pipe most of the time there a sweet ride. any of the 125's are fun. the 05 YZ125 I've been told is the fastest 125 out there right now. if you're going to trail ride the XR250 is nice so is the TTR250. Depends if you need motocross grade performance

Quote[[quads are much better especially when its nice and muddy out side nothing worse than fighting a dirt bike all day just to keep it rubber side down ]]
Actually one of the greatest thrills in dirt biking is learning how to control a dirt bike in the mud. My dirt bikes generally stay in the garage until the rains begin. And I'm not talking about deep mud bogs, I'm talking about mile after mile of slippery-slimmey trails which are so much fun on a dirt bike you can get spoiled and give up riding dirt until it gets muddy again.

if you want a 4 stroke just get a quad cause its that light weight snap as you leave the corners that makes a dirtbike fun and no 4 stroke bike will ever make the hair on the nape of my neck stand up

well all i own is a bike for right now so i could probaly answer alot of your questions if you guys had any. my bike can usually smoke any quad pretty easily but some have better top end than mine. You can pretty much go through anything a sport quad could but it is harder and a lil more challenging.
