I have been buying/selling off Ebay for years and no real issues. Hell I bought my Rator on Ebay, so did my friend. One road trip to Kentucky one weekend and one to Minnesota the next to get ours
Some **** poor sellers out there with slow shipping and every excuse in the book, but so far it's been on sub-$30 purchases and I eventually get my parts. Pretty rare as well.
Check the feedback of the seller as RaptorOwner mentioned.
I also prefer the "buy it now" adds so you don't get caught in a bidding war and have to keep checking various auctions. Sometimes it's not an option though.

I bought my Quadzilla off ebay from MI. Although I would have known the frame was tweaked when I rode it in the end i'm happy i got it running strait now. Buying full quads off ebay can be on the trickier side but I have had no problems buying parts for all my quads off ebay. for the Quadzilla its especially nice buying used stock parts from parted out bikes instead of paying a fortune for parts that are expensive and hard to locate anyways. I love it.
