either your clutch arm is bad, or the shaft that disangauges the clutch has mushroomed over. The same thing happend to my 01 banshee. If the shaft is mushroomed over it will be a bitch to replace, you will have to either spilt the cases to slide it out or use a dremmel tool the grind it enough to slide it out the right side. If you do grind it out make sure you flush all of the metal shaving outs really good and change the oil like 7 times after lettin it warm up. tell me what you find out.

Try this,

Locate the spot the clutch cable is connected at the motor (the one you pushed with no pressure). There is a point on the tip of it. There is also an arrow on the case pointing back. It needs to get tight when they line up.

Take the clutch cover off. Inspect for damage.

In the very middle of the clutch there is a screw with a nut around it. Loosen the nut but tighten the screw until the two arrows line up at the clutch cable spot.

That screw could already be loose and fell out. If so there is a small ball bearing that goes behind it, make sure it is still there.

I wouldn't run the bike.
