Hi Zsebi...Thanks for the reply on the engine. I don't know my exact elevation but it is somewhere between 300-1300 ft I believe. Should that affect the machine at all. Also could using regular 87 and not premium gas have any effect. My choke seems to work and goes all the way back to the starting position but I'm not sure about any free play. I didn't see that in my manual. I did open my airfilter and it seemed fine. I pulled out the air filter and it didn't look plugged or anything. I put it back in. So you think something is wrong with my machine. It wouldn't be from not running the machine real hard would it? Humm maybe I will see if I can take a picture of the sparkplug. And if anyone has the correct color of a sparkplug and could provide a picture. I mean the machine has power but maybe not what it could be huh?

CamoKodiak450,

Are they automotive zerks, or grease fittings, or what specifically do you call them? Also, will a 9mm socket work on it? I don't have a NAPPA near me, but do have an Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone nearby.

As always, thanks for the help! If you're ever out my way (Maryland, West Virginia), give me a shout and I toss you a tin of copenhagen and we'll set into the woods to shoot dinner over a campfire at my cabin.

weaver,

I own some property in the eastern panhandle, but don't know of any public trails, etc. Also, I'm not familiar with anything west of Pendleton/Grant counties. I put that out there for CamoKodiak if he wanted to tool around my place, camp, hunt, etc. for all the help he has been.

Dmger14, thanks for the offer. One day I might just take you up on the offer. You might be able to take it off with a socket but you wouldn't be able to put on back on because of the bend in the new one. Pick yourself up a set of metric open end wrenchs sometime cause you'll need them to do just about anything to your kodiak. You should be able to get the grease fitting at any auto parts store. There just the same as the automotive grease zerks. If they dont have them I'm sure they can order them for you. It's been raining here for about 4 days and this afternoon I'm going to get a little muddy.
