Well you can wheelie almost anything if you lean back hard enough when you hit the gas. I guess it sounded before like you were claiming it would do a 'power wheelie' of I guess you could call it. My prairie will do that, if I'm in low and punch the gas the front end will come up so quick it will scare ya. If you dont let off prepare to be staring at the sky with 650lbs on top of you

What advantage does running your shocks at the most stiff level compared to a softer level does for handling and comfort? Mine right now at factory setting in rear is soft and comfy but is it effecting my handling?

i have mine stiffened up because i am runnning 26" mudzillas.... and i want a little more clearance on my fenders.... if i bottom out my suspension, the tires are very close.... i have it stiff because i ride doubles, and don't want to sag to much in the rear....

Has anyone figured out how to grease the front drive axle?

I haven't figured that one out without taking it all the way off. If i have to do that i might as well wait for a u-joint to go out and just replace it.

After going through all 10 1/2 pages I quess I will add my .02 cents. Zerks, mine where greased from the factory (lucky me) and I just purchased the right angle adapter, works fine for me ( thanks Lightman). Ah the squeeking brake issue. Not lucky this time started after my first water crossing and know has completely gone away after about 400 miles of riding, sometimes very annonying riding at that. But know I have over 500 miles and have not heard the squeek since. The choke is kinda a pain in the butt, but I have noticed after I fire up the kodiak at half position if I keep closing the choke down as it warms up she just keeps purring waiting to be rode. But if I leave it at half position it will cut out and die. Great thread lets keep it going!

I just purchased a 05 450 Kodiak, will be picking it up tomorrow hopefully so haven't rode it as of yet. I really appreciate this thread and the length of detail of those small things that dealers don't always care to tell you before you drive it off the lot. Luckily I am not new to ATV's, Sleds, etc so I have much of the items to maintain them in the tool chest. I do not have the needle fitting you all mention and when I stopped this evening at an automotive place I deal with they only had one that IMO appeared pretty large. So, are their different sizes of these Needle attachments? Besides the one that looks like a shringe tip!

Thanks

Hey liv2hunt, I don't know if you are into hunting post forums, but here's one with a bunch of likeminded people that I go to often:

I tryed to practice greaseing the rear drive shaft with the needle since I can get to it alot easiler than the front to practice. Well it didn't go so well. When inserting the needle in the drive shaft zerk and trying to give it any pressure to get it in zerk it ended up bending and braking the needle. Maybe I need a heavier duty one? Wonder how long the front drive shaft can go without being greased?

Windmill, I too am able to grease everthing execpt the front drive shaft. Guess I'll wait till it needs new u-joints. I tried everything, cant get in there for nothing, guess they grease them before assembly and thats it.
