no spark
pulled in to the garage yesterday running fine, and pulled out the plug to go get a new one. get up this morning and put the new plug in and nothing happens it wont start!!!! pull the plg out and put the old one back in, still wont start!! pull it out and hold it to the block and push the button and there is no spark, so I tear rthe whole bike apart looking for loose or bad connections. I found some exposed wires where the insulation had been rubbed away near the CDI box, bad news i suspect. I get the meter out and find that the secondary coil is bad and the spark plug cap is bad, according to the book, but everything else reads within specs. I pull the coil off My TT600 and didnt test it but put it on the raptor and it does the same thing, so I check it and it has the same problem!!!! My guess is the CDI is bad and is blowing out the secondary coil and the plug cap, maybe??? Any suggestions on a upgraded coil and high rev CDI??? I should probally get both!!
