Believe the Beech you wanna be at as high of compression as you can handle and still run premium pump gass so you can affford to ride it still.

higher compression wont effect your reliability. It will give you more down low power and i think you would be very happy with that minor change.

Approximate Cranking Compression
These pressures are estimates based on fresh stock bore, piston, porting, and deck height.
It is recommended to check your compression after installation.
Sea Level 1000' 2000' 3000' 4000' 5000'
18cc 238 229 221 213 205 198
19cc 211 203 196 189 182 175
20cc 184 177 171 165 158 153
21cc 157 151 146 140 136 130
stock 130 125 120 116 112 107

115psi in a banshee is very weak. Your motor should read at least 160
I agree and disagree at the same time. 120 psi for a banshee will be just fine. It will still scare the crap out of you. Plus I think you will find that if you end up freshening the top end. You will end up with more like 135 in each cylinder.

I am not a big fan of shaving heads...run an aftermarket head if you feel that the compression needs to be 160 or up.

If your going all out with the motor. Then I would say to get the highest amount of compression possible. From the sounds of things..you just plain want a good, ridable bike. Freshen the top end and be done with it for around $200.

stock heads are fine.

Do you even know what compression does for a motor?

Yeah i can build a banshee with 100psi in each cylinder. That bastard would run hard on the top end and "scare the crap out of you." Or i can build a motor with 170 in each cylinder and that same motor would walk away from you.

Compression = tourque!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ohh yeah. ever notice the harder you throw a superball at a wall (compresses) the harder it rebounds back at you?
