The 25" MudLites work great all-around. You can still slide the backend (especially with the 424). I researched 23" vs. 25" tires to death and have been totally happy with the results. If you want actual mounted tire heights, let me know and I will measure mine.
As for the power loss, you will lose a little, but you can make up for it, and then some, with the pipe / air cleaner / jetting.

I have heard alot of good things form the holeshot atr's and they tried them out and they work great in all conditions. they even work great in the snowy conditions. I wanched atv television one day and they tried them out in the snow and they worked fantastic. they work real good in all conditions. I would not sujest that you don't get 26"s because you will not like that ammount of power loss. if you do get 26"s you really should think about getting an exhaust. just in case you did not know the mud lite is a radial tire. you don;t feel any vibration on the road.

I have the 25" MudLites on my Wolverine and think they are one of the best tires for the woverine. They are 6 ply and lighter than just about any other tire you would want to run. However I did not research the Holeshots because They were not out yet when I got my MudLites. If I was going to do it over I might have went with the Hole shots? I have no complaints about mine, I just do not htink I need that agressive of tread for my riding. I will say, they DO ride smooth on pavement and hard pack, and I can still slide the machine around(more if I had the 424)! Unless you are a not going to bust your own trails or go in any mud I would go with the Mudlites.

I was thinking about the ITP Mud Lite, but was thinking that they will have too much bite for the power of the Wolverine. Or the ITP Holeshot ATR radial tire. Finding the best tire is a balancing act, too little bite= too much wheel spin and too much bite=make the machane bogs and is slow.

I have Mudlites on my Polaris right now, i also have a set of 589's. The mudlites would be a good all-around tire for the Wolverine. On my 700 EFI, they wobble above 40 mph, as well as the 589s. They are just not very round. When I put them on the spin balancer I watched how out of round these tires are....
