granted, we were running at about 5500 feet elevation here in New Mexico, but we topped out at 44 on one machine and 43 on the other....we then took a friends Big Bear and run it to 36 mph.....
don't think what you read on your speedo is correct, most are way off....I bury my speedo on my 700 EFI, but the fast I had it on the GPS was 68 mph....
I'm not slamming the Wolverine, I think it is one of the best all-around Utility ATV's out there... Here at elevation from 5000-13000 feet, you're not going to see the performance that the magazine review did when they speed checked a Wolverine at sea-level and on a paved road when they clocked it at 58 mph, which they also later stated that it was higher than they expected and could not duplicated that speed with other machines. If we weren't running at such high altititude and he didn't beat the crap out of his machines, I'm sure we could have reached over 50 mph, which is amazing for a 350 motor. Still, the subject is getting the tires to wobble at speed, which mine wobble at 40+, but hard to tell until I reach over 50. At 40-50, it just feels like the front end is floating. At 50+ I can feel the wobble. However, it doesn't get any worse, just a slight wobble.....at higher speeds the front end on all ATVs is light and they drift on dry dirt roads that are mostly sand...

If you think mine is a freak or I am a liar, do a search on Wolverine top speed on this forum. There are many, many threads to back me up.

I cant find you proof because i dont have a speedometer for my wolverine but me and my brother take my RUBICON which has a speedometer and my wolverine out on the streets for a ride here and there. THE RUBICON TOP SPEEDS AT ABOUT 50 MPH! im wayyyyy Ahead of him with the wolverine so atleast 55 on a wolverine. Im sure some one will show you that speed on a wolverine. 350cc engine SAME ENGINE AS YAMAHA 350 Raptor and SAME ENGINE AS 350 WARRIOR. only about 100 pounds more then both of them. So that would make it go about 7-10 mph slower and the 350 rapo can hit speeds of 65 almost 70 so there for the wolverine can deffinatley do 55

If you are too lazy to use the search feature to disprove me, that is your problem, not mine. There are plenty of Wolverine owners on here who will agree with my top speed assessments.
I don't ride at 5500 feet, but probably would be smart enough to rejet if I did.

aahhh, no speedo, thats right, there is no speedo???? so how did we get the speeds?
anyways, like I said before, the Wolverine is a great machine, If I could find one at a good price, I'd pick it up to have a second machine for others to ride on. We had two of them up elk hunting this year....the motor and light weight were the two biggest advantages that I noticed, the full time 4WD was the only downfall...

hmmm, rejet? are machines are already setup from the dealer with correct jetting, couldn't sell them without it, they come from the factory that way, but in New Mexico you can get all the way down to probably around 2-3000 feet and then ride up to 13000 feet, not much you can do there but what I did on my 500....install a dial-a-jet....
