Default Slip on vs. System

Since I have been looking into exhaust and other mods, I had a questions regaurding exhausts, I noticed that slips are half the price of the whole system, (logical since they are half the thing) and I was wondering is it worth the 2x the money for the whole thing or can it be invested in better things. Also what is the power difference between slip on and the whole system.

Thanks,

MIke.

The difference is about 2-4 HP. A slip-on will help you alot, you will notice a big difference. But I suggest to go with the header too. My YFZ is running a slip-on and it's doing great! But if you just want the muffler, invest your extra money on a K&N, and re-jet it.

What bike are you going to mod up?

I have a 2004 raptor, We are still in the playoffs for football, 1 game away from state in Illinois but when we are done I'm going to go back to work and start saving more money, I have some already, but I was considering doing exhaust and intake along with maybe a few other things.

Are playing high school football? And it depends how your on budget. You have the money go ahead and go with the full system. This and the intake well make your machine quicker. Now if you have lots of $$, you could do many sutff to your quad. What quad are you driving?

As far as opinions go, I don't think the full system is better if you're not a racer or mxer etc..

I have a Yoshi slip-on, and my friend has a full system FMF titanium4 exhaust, and I can outright hand him his ***.

Yes highschool football, I have a somewhat open budget since I have a good job and I don't have to spend money on other stuff, but I don't want to spend all my money. I am not really sure how much I am willing to spend yet but I am just trying to find out more what is worth getting/ spending the money on.

Say if I got the slip on and then the header pipe later, idk if I can buy like that, but if I can, do you think I would have to rejet again?

I drive a raptor 660, mainly trail riding but I will be taking it to the track on occasion.

MIke.

When you look on websites and they say silencer only, is that the slip on? Just trying to get some confusion straightened out.

In my opinion, headers are the first thing you do to any four stroke.
