Default Blaster boggin- Barely moves

Hey all I'm new here and need some advice on my 03 blaster. I was riding it today and hitting some small jumps and such and running it pretty hard. i idled it for a little bit an noticed the idle keep raising up if i was sitting there. My friend said it was low on gas and it does that so i switched it to reserve and it went away. After another 20-30 minutes of riding it started doing it again. We stopped after that for about a half hour or so. I started it back up and it ran like poo. In N if i hit the gas it wouldn't rev up at all. It would blow white smoke rings out at about a 1-2 second interval. It was running all sorts of wierd. It is completely stock with no mods done to it at all. I just replaced the plug 5 days ago so i doubt it is that. Im worried that i blew the engine because i still rely on the fill bottle under the seat to mix the oil for me. After 7-8 hrs worth of riding the oil level dropped only 2 inches. (It was full, now its about 3/4 full. It used to stall out frequently too so i adjusted the idle on it. After i did that i noticed it was a lot harder to get started. Any help or suggestions u provide would be greatly appreciated. I didn't check the gas either but usually when it runs out it immediately dies out instead of just running baerly

You will gets of good advice here. Here's mine. I doubt you blew the engine, especially if it is stock.
you oil consumption is about right, mine uses it at about the same rate. Lots of people talk about using oil block-offs and mixing your own. I'm not big on that, or too lazy! I think your problem is some junk got in your carb, and you will need to take it off, disassemble and clean it out. Take your time, it is not hard to do. Running on reserve you pull from the bottom of the tank, and it sounds like you just about ran it dry on reserve even. Everything in the tank settles to the bottom, and you sucked it into your carb

thanks for the quick response. I will try that tomorrow. when cleaning the carbs, what needs to be cleaned on them and what should i worry about messing up on removal. Im pretty good at turning wrenches but ive just never cleaned a carb before. I was scanning around and it seems like everyone on here is nice and knowledgable which is rad. Its refreshing to see people helping others instead of just bashing them. Thanks again guys

If the problem went away after you put in on reserve and then came back 30 minutes later, you are out of fuel. They do rev up when they are running out. Put some gas in it...

When you adjusted the idle, did you turn the **** on top of the tors box or turn a brass screw on the lower part of the carb body? It is an easy mistake and happens often. The **** on top of the tors is the idle speed adjustment and the brass screw on the lower carb body is the low speed air mix screw and at stock should be 1 1/2 turns out.

Also the 2003 and newer blasters will not rev past idle if the parking brake is on or if the parking brake switch is damaged.

sorry to hear about the tooth yanking, that sux
