Another Exhaust Question & Yes I Already Searched!!
i know, i know...another exhaust question.
Everyone is going to tell me to SEARCH, but I already did and...
I went to my local ATV shop and asked them what the best exhaust THEY believed to be was, and they told me the GYT-R. I havent seen many posts about this, mainly aftermarket stuff. Is there a reason for this? Is aftermarket comparably dominant? And were the people at the shop just telling me this cuz they make more profit off of Yamaha or what???
Thanks
P.S. If there was a previous post similar, please let me know where to find!!!

It depends on the atv you're putting an exhaust on.
the Dyno doesn't lie, look in magazines for dyno graphs comparing different exhausts. I know a lot of people don't believe anything they see in Dirt Wheels, but they do exhaust shootouts.
If you want to put an exhaust on an '05 Raptor: I've seen GYT-R and Yoshimura exhausts on rappy's and a lot of people seem to like both. If noise is a factor, then I'd look into other exhausts.
Also, most of the time, companies that design exhaust systems, design their slip-ons to work better with their own pipe/header that THEY make.

Sorry...the question is Re: 2005 660 Rappy
Noise doesnt matter to me (quiet or loud) - mainly performance and reliablility.
Ive looked for Dyno charts and the only ones I could find are all aftermarket stuff, no GYT. Please direct me if you know where I can find one.
Thanks

I know i've see a Raptor exhaust shootout in a Dirt Wheels, I don't know about other magazines or websites.
With the right jet kit, a Yoshi exhaust will really open up the Raptor. It's loud as hell too...
It's probably even cheaper than the GYT-R and even some FMF exhausts.
the Titanium exhaust is $596

$396 for the stainless

I have always thought that the Alba(www.albaaction.com) and the Sparks(www.sparksracing.com) were two of the better exhaust. HMF(www.hmfengineering.com) is also good. Yoshi is also a good pipe but pricey on ceratin systems.

That Pipe Shootout link on the CT website is great...but they dont have a GYT-R system?? Why is this??? I want to see how it compares. It seems as though it should be one of the best since it is made by the same company who made the whole dang bike! I dunno. Whatever! I think i'd go with a Yoshi myself - looking at the shootout graphs.

i might be mistaken buti believe GYTR IS an aftermarket pipe. I would go with whatever would give you the most gains with the least costs. if noise insnt an issue then that makes it easier. I would look into HMF or FMF, both of these companys make good pipes, yoshis are good to but they are kind of pricy as with GYTR i beleive. hope it helps
