Default 6'2" 220 lbs, Am I to big for the YFZ450?

I love the power of the 450 but it does seem kinda small? All trail riding, cant decide on the 450 or 660.
Are all the bugs worked out of the 450?
Thanks fellas...

Im 5'11 and my knees hit the handlebars, so you might want to invest in a longer steering stem. I dont know about power, but the 660(Cant just say "Raptor" because everything Yamaha makes is a "Raptor" now) is plenty strong. I know my big butt prefers a nice comfy seat than a hard seat like the YFZ, just go sit on both and you decide.

Ok, I can help you. I own a Raptor 660, and my friend owns a YFZ. They both all in all are badass quads, both are fast, the YFZ does accelerate faster since it is lighter and so on. I think the steering feels a little better on the YFZ and its a little easier to turn with less resistance when going slow.
When you sit on both I would say for longer riding the Raptor is by far more confortable then the YFZ, in my opinion.
When I was shifting the YFZ it felt kind of weird because it shifted very easily and I was unsure if I had fully shifted, but thats because I am used to the raptor which requires a little more force to shift, not a lot though.
The Raptor does have more low end power since it is afterall a 660. The YFZ has a lower seat level and the handle bars sort of make u lean a weird position that I don't like for riding a long time. The YFZ is probably more designed for MX and racing and the raptor more for trail riding, or so I think and have heard from others.
The YFZ suspension up front is a little different and I like it, but some people say its very hard.

The raptor's huge advantage over the YFZ for trail riding is that it has reverse which at times is a must for trails. Though the YFZ is something like 50lbs lighter than the Raptor, you have to move the first 300lbs before you worry about that difference.

I personally like how the raptor looks over the YFZ, it looks more macho and mean since it is taller and bigger looking.

In terms of size for the rider. I'm 6'0" and weigh a little under 200lbs. I think neither bike is too small for my size. The Raptor weight limit is 220lbs but I don't think you have to worry about that unless your gonna do extreme jumping and some other stuff I can't think of that might effect it.

The sky is the limit on both quads for mods, and so on.

I am not sure but the raptor might have more ground clearance up front, don't take that as 100% accurate but I think thats the case.

Not just the fact that I own a raptor and all, but pesonally I would go for the raptor if your going to do mostly trail riding, its good on the track, but probably doesn't out do the YFZ, its got reverse and the YFZ doesn't, and I think its more confortable to ride.

Thats what I have to say, best thing would be to take both for a little spin if your dealer lets you and go from there. Also check out some of the used bikes if money is an issue because I got mine used twice, special edition, with the hairs still on the tires for 1300 bucks less then the dealer offered, with a trailer.

Hope this helps.

MIke.

Im almost 6 feet and It doesn't seem to mind my height, I don't know abou the weight but I'm sure it could move you around with no problem. But some say the ergos arent meant for tall people.

Nope, my dad is 6'4" 220. We just had to raise the handlebars about 1 1/2 in and he fits decent. He looks a bit big but he says its fine for him.

I was in the same boat last year and opted for the raptor660...it was a very easy decision for me due to comfort. I could not ride sitting down on the 450, which is very tiresome on the trails. my knees would hit my elbows and my azz felt like it was getting spanked by the paddle in school
