Valve cover... what is the cost?
My Daughter has been a great help to me. She has been incredibly enthusiastic with me to get going on my Raptor. I placed the head on the bench near a corner and she was moving something near it when a spider freaked her out causing her to knock my valve cover. over. Well it cracked. How much will one run me? I looked one up but they seem to only describe it as the entire head assembly. 500 bucks right now for an entire head will put the project on hold. Anyone know where I can get one reasonably priced or can just get the valve cover if possible alone?

A chunk of it cracked off....right above the intake valve cover. Perhaps it can be welded... that will be my last resort. However I don't think it will seal correctly. If does fit together well. I guess if I can get a good welder to seal both sides it can work.
To make matters worse I inspected the Rod where the wrist pin goes in.. there is some slight wear on on the inside. Putting a higher comp piston will prob make it worse. Any ideas guys? My buddies are all pushing me to get a 450R....but I love my torque arm ripping Raptor.
What does a carillo rod go for? How hard is it to install?
