Default tach?

Dyna makes a cdi box that you can hook a tach up to, im not sure if they have one for your bike, but thats the way to go.

All you need to do is hook one up to the coil, no cdi necessary. But you have to have the right kind of tach with the proper rpm range too.

Default tach?

I ran into a similar issue when I put an autometer tach on my Harley. You hook up directly to the coil but, you may have to open up the tach and modify it. You need a tach that is either specific for a twin or one that can be modified for a twin. For example, I had to open up the tach for my bike and cut a wire so it would read accurately. Before I cut the wire, it was getting a pulse from each cylinder, doubling the readout. By cutting the wire, the tach was picking up the reveloution from one cylinder, making it read accurate. Am I making sense?
