blaster

The guy at vitos told me the same garbage. Hes a business man, of course hes going to tell you it will make that much power, but in truth it won't. As I said, a Blaster can easily reach 30hp with good porting.

you need an aftermarket cylinder (like the $600 Vito's kit comes with) to make big power. You can't make the exhaust ports big enough on the stock one. I would do that over the kit with a ported sleeve and the reeds and what not.

You don't even know what your talking about, so stop now before you embaress yourself. If your going 240 then you need a new cylinder anyway, it isn't possiable to bore the stock one that far, you would be right out through the sleeve and into the cylinder its self. Like I have said many of times, the vitos kit is NOT ported, it just a modified super stock piston that alters the port timing. Im not sure where you got your information but you can do whatever you want to the exhaust port, and make it as big as you want..but bigger isn't always better.

Low to mid 30's is very easy on the stock blaster motor, high upper 30's is not out of the question but would be more of a wind it up before you go drag port. The low/mid 30's motor work shouldn't be more than around $250 for porting and head work.
The Vito's 12 port $600 kit is supposed to make 40HP as is. They are really nice cylinders as I did one last summer. I sent it to a guy who runs 200' drags, and the porting and head work picked up 0.5 secs in 200', thats pretty good, so improvements can be made for sure. They claim it runs with any well built 250R, and beats a few of them too!
