Taking out spark arrestor on Raptor 350?

Default Taking out spark arrestor on Raptor 350?

If i do this will it effect my engine any?? Has any one done it?

Default Taking out spark arrestor on Raptor 350?

It will make your quad louder, some say it will give a really small gain in HP, but I don't lnow. It doesn't hurt your quad in any way.

ok, it doesnt mean i have to Re jet or anything cuz i am thinking of doing it, but wasnt sure? Also any tips on how to do it?

no rejetting. Get lots of WD-40 and a lot of muscle....and some plyers..

Default Taking out spark arrestor on Raptor 350?

Easyiest way to get it out is to take the little bolt out the bottom and remove the one on the bottom of the pipe and get a pair of vise grips and a rag put the rag on the vise grips endpinch the tip and twist it out if notit will be like lt250 said you will need a he!! of alot of muscle to get it out there in tight good luck. oh yea it does make a difference when its out not alot but you can feel it .

Some people think it sounds like crap when you do it, i personnaly did. make sure you cover the tip with something or you will screw it up.

Default Taking out spark arrestor on Raptor 350?

Ok guys i took it out and it sounds awsome. When i was riding it it just started sputtering and died. I couldnt get it started again, and when i did it ran fine for a little and then died again and i cant get it started??

I took mine out a little while ago and did real good and sounded good,but it started smoking a little bit,so i put the baffle back in and it doesn't smoke no more.So if you leave yours out you might need to rejet.
