Default How far is it to Dumont?

I would be coming from Sacramento so it takes about 5 to 5 1/2 to Bakersfield from Sac. How much further is it? How far is the nearest town?

From Bakersfield, take I-58 East to Barstow (approx. 1.5 hour drive). Head North on I-15 from Barstow to Baker, CA (approx. 45min.-1 hr.). In Baker, take 174? west again for around 30 miles. Look for the sand dunes on your left...

It's the 127 and the dunes are on the right side You'll see the small dunes on the right first. Keep going and a little further down the road is a sign for dumont dunes and a dirt road leading into them. 15 mph on the dirt road and they mean it. It's 50 bucks if ya don't belive the sign

And I love the people who get impatient and pass at about 60MPH. I spend just enough time cleaning my quad beforehand, just to have it look like it ran the Baja before I came...
