Wheel Spacers...
#1
I have a question about wheel spacers in general... Which are better, the spacers that are just extended wheel lugs, and you just screw them onto the stock lugs. Urethane/Titanium spacers, or the solid metal ones. Each go up in price from each other but I am guessing the solid metal would be the most realiable but then again Urethane/Titanium weight less and revolving mass weights more. Also to get rid of the tipsyness, which I am used to already on my raptor, but to get rid of it... What size do I buy and do I need them in the front too or will just the rear do..
Finally what is the advantage of going with a longer axle instead of wheel spacers, besides a lighter wallet.
Thanks,
MIke.

I put wheel spacers on my raptor and it went through bearings like crazy but i dont know if it would give you the same trouble.......go with wider axle, my choice dura blue or LSR racing and you can get an axle that is adjustable in width

Cool, thanks, I am not gonna buy one yet but if I do I'll sure to have more questions, cause an axle seems like a better deal then spacers.

I use spacers myself with no problems.
You can get em online at

I would get the extended axle if you can, IMO I think wheel spacers are just a cheap way of widening a bike. If you do decide to get them I would only use them on the front. JMO!

those spacers at speed trap i bet i would break in about 10 minutes of riding.
would i be ok with GOOD spacers like the g-force ones, they are strong i know. for the frount and rear if i only do jumping, and trial riding where the jumps are about 4 ft 5 ft in the air max?

how to remove an axle:
1) Remove both wheels and hubs
2) Remove axle locknuts
3) Slide axle through the carrier (note: its best to elevate the swingarm by putting it on a piece of wood or something)
4) the sprocket and brake disc just slides off. remove the brake too, forgot to mention that as how i dont have rear brakes...
