They don't race 400EX against R's at Dora, they'll lose every time given equal riders. That is why they have a four-stroke class. A Raptor will beat, and should beat a 400EX. When the Raptor can beat the 250R, then it will be top dog. As of right now it is just the best performance bike in production, no doubt in my mind about that.

 

exactly so what is the point of your comparison to the 250R, this post is about a 4oo ex and a Raptor, got it?

 

I hear a lot of people say that the Raptor is better than the 400ex, ah, NO S**t. I own a 400ex and i think it is great, it can take more than i can give it. How many of you really put your riding skills to the limit? I saw a guy take a STOCK 400ex and get at least 20 in height and clear 50 feet in length. For that much more engine it better be better. The thing that is interesting is that it's cheaper to buy a Raptor than to buy a ex and hop it up. And i do think that the 28hp of the ex could be better, i wish it had 35 stock. After all this fuss dies down lets all just ride together, thats what we wind up doing anyway. I cant wait to ride my friends Raptor when he gets it!!!

 

Yeah I get it and so should you and that is that two strokes will always rule the race track. I have been to many professional races and I have seen the DS650 race in the open class and it was getting killed by 400EX's and even 300EX's and I think the Raptor will perform just like the DS did in the same situation. Yeah the Raptor will be a great trail machine because it is a 4-stroke, because you can lug it around like a 4X4 but when it comes to going fast and hard leave that to the two strokes because that is what they do best. I know you won't agree with what I have said since you have just spent a fortune on this new quad but facts are facts. I would put a 250r up against a Raptor anyday of the week on the track. Don't get me wrong, I like the new Raptor and I would love to ride one I even had the chance to buy one after selling my 400EX but after riding a couple of 250r's and Banshee's I just got hooked on that two stroke power. Ride hard!

The reason a DS cant hang is the 100+ pounds its got on the others (300ex and 400ex). The raptor does not have that problem. But I guess you should start the HONDA only Racing Series To get the point across. No one wants to ride a quad that is just that bulky, they try but it just doesnt work out. A raptor on the other hand is smaller and more nimble than a DS with just as much power. get it yet? And yes it handles better than a stock 400ex for that matter.

 

if it takes only a 440 kit to beat a raptor then IF honda makes a a 650 or maybe bigger or smaller then that should walk all over the raptor?? wouldnt you think? im gettin tired of hearing about that stupid thing cause everyones makin a big deal about it im sorry if im being a di ck but thats just the truth post something interesting on here not like prices and stuff like that ...

 

The Raptor has 260 more cc's and 18 more horse power and cost $2,000 more. IT SHOULD KILL a 400ex! I know that I don't stand a chance with my friends raptor that he has not got yet and has been waiting for all summer.

 

I do not see why people make such a big deal out of who is faster than who!!My DS might beat a raptor, or it could beat me.I will find out this weekend between me & shollz, If he wins, Great, if I win Great. I have $1000 of stuff on mine. Did'nt we buy these things for FUN!! Not to fight over!!!To beat one or the other doesn't mean the loser still can't have fun just going out & RIDE!!
