It depends on the compression and the elevation as to if you have to run a higher octane. I wouldn't run anything less than midgrade in a stock bike and usually the 11:1 and lower can take premium and the 12:1 and higher takes race gas. What is the compression of the piston that was put in it? Also is it stock bore? It doesn't matter, but just wondering.

Whoops, thought you had a raptor. But that is pretty much the case with the banshees too. You should run a higher octane than 87, but I think it's a carb problem. Too lean.

Your sig says you are running high compression wiseco pistons. Stock the banshee calls for premium 91+ octane. Depending on your compression, altitude, and your local gas octane ratings, you may be able to get away with premium pump gas. But for your setup you should be running at least that, and possibly much more.

The limit for 91 octane is about 155-160 lbs, anything more and you've found your problem.

Check your manual, it should say so there. I also believe there used to be a sticker right on the tank.

i dont know about the stock bike octane, but with a high compression piston, you need to run premium, 94 over here. I used to run 94 in my rappy, and i switched to 87 and it seems to run better...
