Pull the carb off the cylinder head side and blip the throttle; watch to see if it shoots a spurred stream of fuel out of the carb. If it does and its a good spurt then getting fuel is not your problem. When you test the spark plug (pull it out still connected to the coil and hold it near the head for grounding purposes) what color is the spark? It could be not enough air too... When is the last time you cleaned your air filter?

If you have spark, air, and fuel you may want to run a compression test on it; sometimes when the rings are going the compression is very low and it makes it real hard to start. The quad is 4 years old and if you ride often and real hard you are probably up for a piston/ring change...

That is what they act like when the stator is bad. ( they won't start with the electric starter) Did you try to catch start it? Besides, the last thing you did was change the stator and your problems started. See if it will catch start. if it does, its the stator.

ok i tried to catch start it. it started to put put but wouldnt turn over. so im guessing my carb is DEF the problem because the quad just isnt getting gas. im going outside right now to take the carb off the cylinder and im gonna hit the throttle to see if any gas gets through.

ok i just tried to catch start it. my brother pushed me down the driveway and it woudltn start. it only putt putted. sounded like it got no gas. so i opened the whole thing up and too kthe carb off the cylinder. sure enough i hit the throttle and no gas came out. now what should i check on the carb to make it work porperly? the gas is making it to the carb but not making it out. so there must be a problem somewhere in between.

take the bowl off, and spray it up with carb cleaner. Hopefully that will disolve whatever is gummed up in there and start letting fuel flow.

Sounds like a jet is clogged with something, your going to have to take it all apart and clean it thoroughly through (a good thing to do normally anyway) or you can take it to your local ATV service center for a carb clean (costs about 30 - 50$). Glad to hear that little trick worked ! Make sure you are careful with your floats you don’t want to throw them off and cause yourself more problems; if the floats are not stuck then they would not really have anything to do with the carb not spraying fuel...

*Make sure there is NO carb cleaner in the carb when you put it back on the bike; a good amount of carb cleaner is VERY bad when detonated in the cylinder of the bike...

Just a few suggestions:

1. Go after the main jet first looking for obstructions, if your bowl is mucky and dirty make sure you clean it out well, clean the entire carb.
2. If your air hose (inside and outside) & box are dirty - clean them spotless before you put the carb back on
3. On all contact points apply a small amount of grease evenly around the orifice for a better dirt/air seal
4. There is a flaw in how the air filter for the warrior is mounted - when you mount your filter MAKE SURE the top (airbox lid) is in the correct position or it will NOT hold the air filter against the box outlet correctly (apply grease around the end of the air filter orifice too).
5. If you are using a K&N air filter id slap a "precharger" on there right away - K&N filters let some particles through that gum up carbs and such (I find the prechargers to reduce this effectively).
6. Drain your carb's fuel every time after use (turn the gas off first of course).

Well that’s about all I can think of and it should keep your carb nice and clean tell the next service interval.
