If you are going to tackle the carb, make sure everything in the float needle and seat area are in order. Make sure the metal clip on the needle and tang on the float are ok. Make sure there isn't a major piece of dirt wedging the needle up into the seat. Make sure the rubber on the tip of the needle didn't come off and get lodged where the fuel comes into the needle assy. Move the float up and down while blowing gently where the fuel enters the carb. When the float is approx. level, you should no longer be able to blow air into it. When you let the float drop back down, you should be able to easily blow air into the carb.
Good Luck.

D3athShad0w, Eyes read Warrior, hence the clutch and 6th gear...brain was thinking Wolv.
I edited out my inaccurate statement about the accelerator pump. In 95, the Wolv had the Warrior style carb, as you are probably aware.
I apologize for the mistake.

did it run fine before you changed the stator?
unscrew the bowl drain on the bottom of the carb next to the vent tube (does fuel come out the drain line)
If the carb worked fine before the stator change,,,i dont see much of a reason to tear it apart now
be sure you are getting fuel,,,,,,trace the fuel from your tank to your carb and be sure it is flowing to your carb
