12.5:1 compression and alcohol

Default 12.5:1 compression and alcohol

I have a 690 raptor with 12.5:1 compression and porting and and i cant find specific information on wether or not i can get a good performance gain if i switch to alcohol from gas ,any input?

From what I understand you'll have to mix race gas(110) with some premium gas(91-92)............

I guess that i didnt make myself too clear because what i am wanting to know is what gains could i see when (switching) from gas to alcohol and what effect if any would compression have on doing so.

I can't give you any numbers but in general you will pick up quite a bit torque and some power. The hotter the weather the more advantage you will have over the gas guys. In real hot weather you will have a big advantage over gas.

be sure you check into the maintenance before turning your raptor into an alchoholic. I believe your mileage goes down considerably also.

i have ran both and i noticed a big gain in the top end..... the only hassle is weather changes (jetting) and having to purge with gas after your done riding at the end of the day!
