Do you have any idea how an engine works? You are so far off with your little rule of "anything over 11:1 requires racing gas"

There are 2 factors that go hand in hand and dictate the required octane; these are effective cylinder pressure and cylinder temperature. Therefore, required octane is determined from the compression, air/fuel ratio, squish, intake and exhaust duration, ignition timing, and the heat sink properties of the piston, head, and cylinder. The YFZ450 is fine to run on 91-93 octane with a stock engine with proper jetting. And doing a modification such as the cam mod just further lowers the effective cylinder pressure. With proper jetting, stock timing, cam mod, and a ceramic impregnated piston; compression as high as 12.5:1 can even be run on 93 octane gas.

Then what is that statement?

I believe I elaborated much further over the posts about it; lets all nit pick at everything that doesn’t contain 100% of the info we are talking about. OOOOoooo HE SAID THAT BUT HE DIDNT INCLUDE IT IN THIS SENTANCE!!!? @#$%

I don’t see in there where I said EVERY bike MUST run that setup when it’s over that compression ratio - that is an average. I don’t own a YFZ as I said I AM STATING WHAT I HAVE OBSERVED; lol you guys are driving me nuts I have the flu im dizzy as it is.

I left the other sentances out because they didnt address the same thing and werent relevant to the point. Not to mention I didnt want the post to be a half page long.

Why do you say that "we" Must run a race gas/pump gas mix or straight race gas with the stock yfz then if you dont own one?

Take deep breaths and calm down. Its the internet, but its looks as though you are stepping on your own tongue a little bit.

Lol are you that blind? Do I need to put this on brail for you and shove it up your @ss so you can interpret what I just said there maddog - no disrespect man I just said yet again that this is what I have observed with many machines rolling into the shop… But now I shall go sit in a corner in my dark little room as I slice my wrists teetering back and forth content with myself - high on the recent haunting nostalgia that shall forever echo in my mind all because of your cruel, naughty, and unnecessary forum posts!! I HOPE YOUR HAPPY!

The bold section is what I was referring to, not whether you made any statements about whether all 11:1 and higher comp ratios require race gas. Thats why I only included the sections of your posts that I did.

Take it easy, we dont want one of our newest members having a heart attack his first week here.
