This is similar to the set up I am running.
I have a full HMF system, Pro Design intake with K&N filter and outerwear. No lid. Around 900 ft above sea level.
178 main
45 pilot
YZF needle 3rd clip
Zip Ty fuel screw 2.5 turns out
Pulls like there's no tomorrow.
I would say with your set up and elavation you may be able to go up a size over me. I don't know about 185 though.
Have you done a plug check.

Sounds like you're close to me. The popping usually means some sort of lean condition. Mine does it on occasion, but not all the time. If it pulls good, you may be off a little on your clip or pilot thus causing the popping. Play with that a little.

iv'e read alot of different forums suggesting clip position so maybe thats next.haven't really ridden it since the swap to the 185 so maybe this weekend if we don't get to much snow.really waiting for the ice to freeze so we can start ice racing
