If it is the skid plate that is making that noise, then go to a local hard ware store and pick up some rubber washers that should solve the problem. Then put the rubber washers betweent the frame and the skid plate.

As long as you used the blue stuff you'll be able to get the bolts loose. Take it from a guy that uses a LOT of Loctite on 2 Harleys and 2 quads.

The green stuff is the "wicking" formula, you'll be able to get the bolts loose. The red stuff is the tough stuff. For normal use the blue formula is the best for when you want it to hold well but be able to get a bolt off when you need to.

Yeah, it's kind of "buzzy" in the upper rpm's. I've checked the torque of all the engine bolts, checked the fender mounts and everything else. It's just the nature of the beast.
I went with the Maier plastic skid plate on mine. I had one on my '93 300EX and it took a lot of abuse and held up really well. So far the one on the Wolverine is too. We do a lot of rock crawling and banging over fallen trees. It's really hard to believe the plastic holds up as well as it does.

Another option besides the rubber washers is a piece of bicycle inner tube. I just cut about an 8" piece out of an old tube I had and placed it along the center frame rail. The noise was gone and the tube has never worked itself out. A piece along the outside rails sure wouldn't hurt either.
