Hi all, newbee here, I recently purchased a 2005 Kodiac 450 and I just love it! I also own a 2005 Honda 400 AT, and a 2002 Kodiac 400.I have about 20 hours on the 450,and I'm getting ready to take it in for it's first service. My question is, I noticed that the 450 vibrates bad, and on long rides my hands and feet get num from it. My kodiac 400 doesn't do it, or my honda, has anyone else noticed this? It almost feels like the engine is out of balance. Should I be concerned about this, or is it normal for the 450?

 

This is definately not normal. I have a 2004 and no vibrations. You do have the independant rear which should make it ride even smoother.

 

i have an '03, no IRS and NO vibration like what you're describing. something DEFINITELY wrong.

 

well i have put alot of time on my machine, and i don't feel the vibration that you are saying... mine has a little, when running cold, but other than that nothing..

 

I have an 05 kodiak and when it first starts it has a small vibration but other than that no problems. I have 500 miles on mine and its smooth

 

I think it is the engine it self, because if I rev it up in park or neutral it still vibrates. I'm taking it in tomorrow for the first service and i'll talk to the service manager about it.

 

it is not normal,
my polaris 330 was a shaker , the fenders were shaking at idle like the turnsignals on a harley [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
and even that did not make my hands numb.
my 450 is smoth, as any other honda, tell the dealer to give you an other one [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
