HP numbers for the Raptor?
#11
newblue,
Wow! With rear wheel hp as measured on the dyno nearing 50 hp, the crank horsepower must be somewhere over 60 hp! With the peak moving up to 8,000 rpm, it sounds like the power issue is all airflow related, both in and out. Also, I have noticed that stock jetting is on the lean side.

NEWBLUEYAMAHA, Can you explain your HP numbers one more time? Are you saying 47HP at 4000RPM, then a drop to 42HP between 4000-8000RPM, then a peak to 47HP at 8000RPM? I don't think 47HP is possible at such a low RPM of 4000RPM. Please post the dyno charts so we can see the whole curves.

THIS IS ALL SECOND HAND INFORMATION. I WILL TRY TO GET CHARTS FROM RONNIE. BUT I NEED TO PUT TEN MORE HOURS ON MY RAPTOR BEFOR I EVEN THINK ABOUT PUTTING IT ON A DINO. THE WAY IT WAS DESCRIBED TO ME LEFT ME KINDA CONFUSED, I GUESS IT SHOWS FROM MY POST. IT SOUNDED TO ME LIKE THE GRAPH DROPPED BETWEEN 4000 AND 8000 R.P.M.
