Im looking for a good set of tires to use this summer at local dirt drags on my Raptor. The track is a 300 ft clay based track. Also what is a good sprocket combo for a 300 ft drag. Ill take all the info I can get so answer away.

 

We all run either maxxis 4snows or ohtsu prowedge2s. Get the on a light 8 inch rim if possible. They are both 22 inch tires. Geaing depends on mods and what type of bike you have wieght etc...... Put the tires on and drop one in the front to start with. Then talk to the others at the track.

 

Yep...but scholle forgot one tire...the new AMS Zippers are also a good 300ft dirt drag tire. No matter which of the three you get, you will want Douglas .125 wheels to run them on.

 

4 Snows just spin on a hard track, I tried them at Bedford PA (clay) and was spinning most of the way down the track. Either Turf Tamers or stock Dunlop radials are what all the guys run at Bedford, the only hard track I've raced. I like the Turf Tamers best, a little more spin off the line but better on the top end. Stock YFZ radials grip like a **** on a hard track if you run ~ 3 psi.

 

I like the fact that the 4snows (grow) like a drag slick.

 

Pro Wedge 2s, or maybe the ohtsu radials

 

Ohtsu makes the Honda 400ex rears right? Some guys were running those in Bedford too.
