Had trouble with my Raptor starting today?
Well today i went outside to my cargo container (where i kept my raptor last night) and tried to start it up well it cranked once or twice then the black box thing behind the battery on the right if your looking at the back of the quad (right behind the battery) started clicking and the engine wasn't even cranking!!! then after that that black box thing was just clicking when i pressed the electric start.. i tried to jump start it with this emergency starter thing that i have and it still just clicked.. anyone know what the heck is wrong?
it is cold here and the battery is a little low from yesterday when i started (i blame it on the temperature) but even with that jump starter it a low battery shouldn't be the fault!!!
Thanks for any help!!!

Have you replace your battery yet? If not, then cold could have drained your battery. It did on my raptor last month and its a 2003 Model. The temps got down to about 14F, and it wouldnt even turn over. I charged it in the house, and now it start every time. You could check the voltage on the battery with a multimeter if you have one, should read at least 12.7VDC if i remember correctly, and 13.x something when started.

My raptor is always hard to start on cold mornings. it always turns real slow and hardly turns over fast enough to crank it. I replaced the battery last year and it fixed the problem then, but I think i may need to get another for this season. it doesnt seem to keep the charge like it should.
