2004 Raptor 660 Starts amazingly well...
While I am still driving my 110cc Chinese quad... A friend asked me to store a 2004 Raptor 660 which had been sitting for maybe 6+ years with old gas. It took about 8 hours to remove the two carbs, clean and reinstall them along with removing the gas tank and dumping the old gas in the my chinese atv.
I came across the old thread but I wanted to say a few things...
1. I have never seen a gasoline engine start quicker or better. It is like instant!! Only other motors that seemed to come close are 1986 Yamaha Radian 600, 1993 Yamaha Virago XV1100... I'm not sure how yamaha does it....
2. I'm planning to replace the DMC aftermarket pipe and 160/165 Main Jets with a stock pipe, jets and air filter. WAY WAY WAY too LOUD! Also, the power is ridiculous.... The only place I could see using the power is with paddle tires in deep sand climbing a huge sand dune. On the street it lifts the front end in ever gear except 5th.
