DEATH ON THE DAKAR!!!
#11
My good friend and neighbor was actually in the race..Chris Blais. He said the same thing, when he went by Meoni, there was so much blood..he knew it wasn't good news..
Chris said that with the way the instruments on the handlebars on the Dakar bikes were set so high, he got a pretty good cut on his neck when standing on the pegs, leaning forward at the high speed sections..the instruments were literally inches from his neck.
He just guessed by saying its probably the same thing that happened to Meoni, but the cut probably got his Jugular vein.....RIP Fabrizio....

He seems to spend every waking hour on his KTM, even after he got back home from 16 days of racing Dakar, he was already planning on racing the local D-37 National Desert race 5 days away...the kid is an animal....Great Job to all the teams that finished Dakar...
