installing raptor piston?

Default installing raptor piston?

i plan on getting a wiseco 11:1 piston, stock bore, for the raptor. i am sticking with the stock rod and was wondering if its ok to just leave the engine bolted into the frame to do all of this? any help is appreciated. im just double checking here that i can definetely leave it in the fram do install the new piston, thanks---Rider1169

Yeah you can do it in the frame.

good choice on the piston, same as me, yeah leave in the frame its easy, aslo dont worry about that 11:1 snapping your stock rod, it hasnt broke mine yet...knock on wood.

Did mine in the frame too, about a year on the 11:1 stk bore and she hasnt blown up yet.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

How the improvement on just getting a piston? or did you all go with a cam at the same time?

hey caliraptor, just wondering hows the LT250R compare in speed to your Raptor?

The raptor walks all over it when drag racing, but once the LT get going it keeps up with me. I can go WOT in 5th and I will pull from my brother but he still keeps up. A stock banshee and Z400 couldnt keep up when we were riding. I know the LT is WAY lighter and my brother is like 80lbs lighter than me, maybe thats why it was able to keep up a bit.
