Default dirt in the tank

when I went riding the other day, I stopped and filled up, when I took the gas cap off a piece of dirt (about the size of a small nail head) dropped in the tank.. Should I drain the tank and clean it, or not worry about it? I rode it for about an hour afterwords...

well do you have a fuel filter? i would drain it anyway though, cuz sand and dirt can screw up your rings.

empty the tank, and clean your fuel filter, it should be built into the petcock... on the 660 atleast.
