hey guys wanted to know are their any bad points on this bike im seriously looking into getting one and this one keeps getting my attention..ive looked at the arctic cat 400 and eiger 400 but this one has my eye ..my type of riding is limited to heavy snow and plowing and i wanted to know are their common problems with the kodiak and how they are vs the others..i know all bikes are basicly similar but each does have their advantages..and draw backs does the kodiak have any drawbacks like cold weather starting on shaft problems , cv problems ect..thanks all please let me know your thoughts if you read this,,it really helps ease the mind

 

Moose a friend of mine has an 03 Kodiak, which is similiar barring the IRS. It is a very good bike and with the diff lock it would go anywhere. The only complaint I had with it was that it seemed to have a lot of engine vibration. This might not be the case with the 05's.

 

The Kodiak 450 is your machine. I had a AC 500I and I swear the 450 will turn easier even when the front differential is locked than the AC. The tranny engages sooner with less reving. Alot more snappy too.
