Default belt problems

I own a 2000 grizzly. My friend and I removed the belt cover to inspect the belt because of slippage , especially when in water. We noticed excessive amounts of grease in the cluch area. Should there be this much grease ? It was in other areas of the belt cover as well. Also, Is there any special gasket (heavy duty) you can install fot your belt cover? What are the best belts out there for a grizzly 600?

thanks

Default belt problems

There is supposed to be a little grease in the cover and around the clutch but not very much. I have seen a few hard worked grizzlys in the last little while with this type of thing happening, where a screw driver was used to scrape out the grease and mud. Not sure if there is a heavy duty gasket, but if it were me i would see what yamaha wants for a stock belt due to not normally having to replace them.
