skid plates

Default skid plates

i was poking around on ebay and i found a plastic skid plate.does anyone have one or know how good they are? just seems to me that taking the abuse under there the plastic would just get tore all up.

It would all depend on what kind of riding you do, i get along with the plastic ones for sticks and stuff, rocks would be another story. I've even ran over a chewed off tree stump and just slid right over, it wasn't very big though.

yeah i guess for trail riding it would be alright but some times those rocks jump right out in front of you.

I personally wouldn't trust plastic skids, but thats just me. The day I bough my Rap I bought a GYT-R chassis and swingarm skidplate. Better safe than sorry.
