hey gwinn....do you remember back when that cop kirk i think his name was....he hated the snowmobilers so much racing by at the back of his property...he put up that wire or barbed wire and decapitated that kid? by the way he was wearing a helmet....not much could stop that though...

 

last weekend 4 snowmobilers went through a friend of mines electric fence upstate NY. they just kept on goins and his horses got out. go figure.
o and DLRPLATE, you should use protection in that feild too.

 

i know what you guys mean, but im talking all of these little spills with no lid that people die from.

when a lid would have more than likey saved their life.

i do remember that fence thing yes, what a horrible thing to do.

here is one story involving me. I was riding on a trail and hit a 1ft mudhole on my light blaster in 3rd gear and literally hydroplained and landed in my head and had the quad roll right over me. I would have gotten a concussion at least. And most a broken neck and it would have been like an hour to get me out of there. Thank GOD i only suffered about 200 thorns and a bent clutch lever.

 

i always wear my helmet when i go riding. i have a older streetbike helmet that i was given so i wear that. i want to get a MX style helmet tho. the only time i dont wear a helmet is when im just moving the quad or not doing anything crazy. if im going to ride for any time longer than 5 mins or if im going to go fast, jump, wheelie,..... i ALWAYS wear my helmet. i also have the THOR "Phase Gear" and i really like it. it looks cool. i want the THOR quadrant boots. they look amazingly nice. i ride in tennis shoes cuz i dont have any riding boots right now. i dont have a chest protector or anything like that but i would wear it if i had it. i always wear gloves too. i wish i had nerf bars but not yet. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] i really dont see whats cool about not wearing a helmet.

concerning your story- in very sorry to hear that. i hope hes ok. i thought you were going to say the quad fell on him while trying to load it in a truck bed or something. wow. now that would have been ironic. good luck to your friend.

 

i used to not wear a helmet, but 2 years ago i asked for 1 for xmas and got it..

over this previous summer my buddy got his mom to buy him a helmet cus he was posed to get a blaster...well our friend was outta town and we were house sitting, he left a 400ex and his blaster there. my friend was being g@y and wouldnt hardly let me touch the EX, but when we went out the second time i was like whoever has their helmet on first can ride it (he was already sitting on it) but that made him put his helmet on. sure enough, about 15 mins of riding he tried to slide it sideways and rolled it, he broke both hands and had a bad concussion...its wierd to think that i made him put on the helmet. but alteast he's here today.

also my friend was on a moped doin like 40 and a lady brake checked him and he locked his front wheel up and went down. later that day i came over and look at his helmet, had a huge @$$ dent in the side that prolly woulda killed him if he wasnt wearing it.

today i wear my thor svs4 helmet, answer gloves, and a thor aftershock chest protector. next week my dads buying a gun from me so i can go buy some quadrants..

 

yeh i always were my brain bucket and so do all my friends..... one thing i dont get is you half to were your seat belt in a car but these guys on croch rockets dont half to i dont get it
