Default Yamaha Warrior breaks up

Yes, I have been reading about that reverse issue and it seems to be a pretty common one. Everyone is saying what you said.....feather the clutch until it engages/disengages. Can't wait til I ride again so I can test it out.

As far as the jetting goes, I haven't been able to look at it yet, but I feel pretty confident that you guys are correct about it running lean. I have read other threads on this forum that all point to jetting for this type of running problem. I ordered a bunch of stuff for the quad and I will check the jets when I receive and install everything.

So what size jets do you think I should have with this setup?

96 Warrior
K & N Filter w/pre-filter (using air filter lid)
White Bros E-Series slip-on

I am pretty sure the guy I bought the quad off of installed a K & N jet kit along w/ the filter, but who knows what size jets he used.

I am thinking 150 or 155 main jet (not sure about the pilot) and maybe modding or removing the air filter lid. I just bought this air filter lid and duct (new) because it was missing when I bough the bike, but the guy prolly took it off for a reason.

I think you should be around a 43-45 pilot and a 148-154 main, with clip on the 3rd slot for the needle

Thanks for the reply. I'll try that and provide an update when I can.
