sad blaster story

Around Christmas, my beloved blasty was having a few probs... electircal, and a couple of air leaks... sent it to the mechanic...well, 6 weeks and about a grand later, finally got to ride again.... after 10 minutes, the engine seized. Seized! I was like "this CAN'T be happening."
Now I need to get the cylinder re-sleeved, and of course a new piston kit.
Please give me some sympathy here, folks, because I sure could use it.

I would definitely try to find a better shop. I tell you, it's sad how some shops pump out crap work and it turns into a battle to have them stand by their work. I have been burned before too. Good luck getting the blaster back on all fours. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to treat yourself to an engine upgrade, more ponies=more fun.

I would definatly think it would be the mechanics fault if he opened the engine or if he messed with the oil lines. If he doesn't know if seized then talk to him causaly about it and see if he tell you what he did.
