squeaky rear shock on raptor

Default squeaky rear shock on raptor

yeah thats exactly what i ended up doing friday night my buddy had some liy=thium grease in an aerosol can and i loosened it and blasted it and when i put it back tight again the squeek was gone

i rode at 2 mx tracks last weekend with no sign of The Squeek[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

sure it is worth a try
also make sure that the grease zerks are full (you know what i mean)
only use white lithium grease to fill into the zirks

what kind of grease?? lithium like teh one from an areosol can?/ whitish??

Default squeaky rear shock on raptor

I had the same problem when I had my raptor, I took out and completely cleaned both rear shock bolts and bushings, then lubed them with high temp red grease and the problem was gone, I also did the same on the front shocks, they were starting to sqeak as well.

Try Losening the nut 1/4 turn, and post again if it continues. i had teh same problem . i added antiseize, regualr grease wd-4o and nothign works. the only way it worked for me was to loosen the nut 1/4 turn and it never did it again. btw the nut doesnt loosen either just incase add a drop of loc-tite.

Default squeaky rear shock on raptor

On my Raptor there was a grease zerk I never knew was there until I tore everything down, this whole time when I thought the shock was squeking it where this grease zerk was there was no grease. I greased those and the noise went away.
